I suppose you could follow that and see what happens... but I guess you would have to download the headers for the updated kernel etc while you got a
connection with the older kernel.... and follow the rest of the guide.

If all else fails? and you want to use Linux still......... go buy a new ethernet card for around $20? hehehehehe

It does seem to be a bug with that particular chip and the newest kernels.... Kernel 3.0 ftw? lol arghhh
