External HD suggestions.
I am sick of them not working, so it must be me, and my lack of knowledge with computers...
So what are some of your favorites?
I just need something to backup my stuff, my dad doesn't want online-backup... yeah... I know...
Thanks.
Can you attach picture? Link do work fine with me though... (I'm talking in general about the forum itself lol)

hhhmmmmm To be honest I have never bothered using an external HD
I always use Internal...... Strange that your having issues
I know Ubiquitous1980 uses an External HD for backup..... i'll have to see what he uses...... But I don't
see why Most, if not All External Hd's wouldn't work on linux out of the box......
Do any of you guy's have any input on this?

I use a Samsung 2TB external HDD, works pretty well on all OS's I've tried.
Of course it's file system is NTFS, so maybe only good for typical backing up of your files, documents, music etc. Like I said, works on all my Linux OS's, Windows, Mac etc just fine.

I use a Western Digital Passport External HDD (500GB), it was about £70 a year ago. It works perfectly on Linux and Windows. However it is useless for installing an OS on and booting it due to Western Digital's software built-in to it which is supposed to be used as a back up utility if you use Windows (which I and mostly likely you do not use)
