The Qt answer to LXDE? Razor-qt

Post  eldersnake on Mon Dec 19, 2011 10:01 am

Just took this for a spin on my Arch box (took a couple mins to build from AUR, if that. Source tar ball is like 5mb. That's how small it is LOL)

It's basically like a really really stripped back KDE. But it's very minimal and missing some features but definitely usable, but of course it's damn fast and will be very modular.

It reminds me of a Qt LXDE at the moment, but in the future, maybe it could be like a Qt Gnome 2? It has the whole applet thing going, plus a couple desktop widgets too (note, despite the similarity, it's NOT Plasma).

Whatcha's think?

Yeah somebody in my chatroom mentioned this today so I had a quick look and read of the Website....

Definately Cool! And I sure as heck will install it and upload a video about it... I don't think many people in the community have heard of this slick little Qt Desktop

kudos!
