Linux Diagnostic Software

Post  gatorman32656 on Thu Jan 27, 2011 2:57 am

Is there a reliable software package for Linux systems that will diagnose hardware problems? Ideally, it would not only diagnose problems but monitor the system to indicate potential problems that might arise from a system review done on a periodic basis.

I'm not sure what you mean by diagnose hardware problems. htop in the terminal is great for monitoring resources and the processes using them.If i have hardware acting up i usually check the system log files.
